Achieving a balance between family, work and play is something that we all strive for. Time management has never been more challenging. Parenting in the current millennium of iPads and social media whilst attempting to nurture and protect our children, is sometimes just plain scary!

Stress is damaging to your body!

The structure of your spine allows it to cope with daily movements, pressure and tension. Our bodies are not designed to be under stress for prolonged periods as this can have detrimental effects on the stress hormone, Cortisol and optimal function of our entire nervous system.

When the correct biomechanics of the vertebra are compromised due to injury, repetitive movements and or sustained poor posture, the mechanoreceptors in the joints fail to fire correctly. This results in diminished communication between spinal segments and the brain. While many people refer to a joint “being out”, research informs us that the process is quite a bit more complicated than this. Restoring joint mechanics improves the communication pathways and as such reduces stress in the nervous system and entire body.
